A game of two stories. Literally. There is another version of this story about how this game went saved in my drafts that, thankfully, won't see the light of day.

The Cleveland Guardians got off to a horrid start but finished with a massive win over the Los Angeles Angels. This win could be exactly what the team needs to turn the season around.

It wasn't flowers and sunshine the entire way even though the Guardians did win. Trouble started early on for Cleveland on the base paths which saw a run get erased in the first inning after poor baserunning from Amed Rosario and Steven Kwan

Hunter Renfroe made an incredible throw from right field to throw out Rosario at third, which occurred before Kwan crossed the plate.

What felt like the nail in the coffin for this game was Rosario dropping a ball in shallow left field that would've ended the top of the eighth inning. Instead, the Angels stayed alive with an unearned two-run homerun.

All of a sudden it was a 6-2 ballgame which felt like an impossible deficit for the Guardians to overcome.

Then the six-run explosion happened!

Jose Ramirez punched in the first run of the inning with an RBI single and Josh Bell duplicated his at-bat with another RBI and Cleveland was down two.

Josh Naylor was the next man up and he blasted a three-run home run to take a one-run lead. Andres Gimenez followed this up with a home run of his own giving the Guardians an 8-6 lead.

There were a number of mishaps early, but it's all about how you finish and the Guardians never counted themselves out.

Hopefully, this is the game we talk about when we say "Remember when Cleveland turned it around?"
