There are few players in MLB who can be labeled as true "extra base machines." One of those players that certainly falls under this category is the Cleveland Guardians' Jose Ramirez.

He put all of that on display in Saturday night's massive win over the Angels.

Jose ripped a ball to the left-center wall during his second at-bat on Saturday night. He slid into second base and nearly beat the throw for his 10th triple of the season. But it was more than just another double for Ramirez.

This double gave him his 300th career double, a huge milestone for the third baseman.

Hitting doubles is something that Jose has done ever since he was called up in 2013. He hit 56 in 2017 which was a career-high and also led the league that season. Ramirez would then go on to lead the league in doubles again in 2022 with 44.

Jose currently sits on the franchise leaderboard at seven with his 300 doubles.

It shouldn't be a surprise to anyone that Ramirez has this many doubles. He comes out of the box thinking second and the stats reflect this. Jose has an XBT% of 54 percent in his career with the league average being all the way down at 40 percent during this time, via Baseball Reference.

Ramirez chose to do something that many others did not. That was to take a pay cut and stay in a Cleveland uniform until he retires. Jose signed a contract extension through the end of the 2028 season.

With Ramirez being with the organization for the next five years, he's sure to keep setting Guardians' records and keep reaching these impressive milestones.
