One of the biggest questions that Cleveland Guardians have had this season is, "Why hasn't Gabriel Arias received more playing time." The infielder by trade has only started eight games at third, 11 at shortstop, and 14 at first with the majority (17) coming in right field.

Arias is clearly a tremendous athlete who has proven he can play multiple positions. However, defense is only half of it. The super-utility player has struggled to find any sort of groove on offense.

He's currently had 162 plate appearances while hitting just .179 with a strikeout rate of 32.1 percent which is well above the league average.

Terry Francona talked about Arias' development and what his current role is with the Guardians:

Arias is still just 23 years old and could become a fantastic player during his MLB career. His natural power has been on display on multiple occasions as he sits in the 94 percentile in max exit velocity.

However, right now he continues to go through those growing pains during the limited opportunities that Tito is talking about.
