The Cleveland Guardians received some pretty sour news on Monday afternoon when they learned that Aaron Civale would be sidelined for an unset amount of time after he was diagnosed with an oblique injury.

One positive from today's news is that Triston McKenzie is making progress as he works his way back from a shoulder injury. McKeznie learned just a few days before the season started that he could miss up to two months with the injury.

But he is expected to start throwing later this week which will give the training staff more information on when he could return to the team.

Terry Francona said that McKenzie is "doing really well. That's the important part."

Watch the rest of Tito's presser here:

Even though McKenzie is making good progress, he still won't return to the mound anytime sooner than what was originally planned. He was placed on the 60-Day IL (retroactive from March) that won't make his return possible until May 29 at the very earliest.

We can't wait for him to be back!
