The Baltimore Orioles are expected to trade away some of their outfield this winter, it's a position that is currently logjammed and would allow for additional positional flexibility.

It's a move we have postulated numerous times at Inside the Orioles, but according to Fastball, a great potential trade fit would be the Seattle Mariners

The Orioles are likely to shop Anthony Santander or Austin Hays, both productive veterans that would be apt to replace Teoscar Hernandez as Fastball's article spoke about.

The Mariners have plenty of pitching that could be sent in return, something that the 103-win Orioles would like to acquire to bolster their rotation and bullpen ahead of the 2024 MLB season.

However, Baltimore will try and keep prices low and will want to acquire young, controllable pitching that won't break the bank.

While names like Logan Gilbert and George Kirby won't be a part of any return, perhaps someone like Bryce Miller could be the headliner in a trade that included Hays and another upper-tier prospect.

It would be a significant move, but both teams would be dealing from a position of strength while also maintaining course on their current timeline and strategy.

With just one week left in the postseason, the Hot Stove is about to get turned all the way up, especially as the MLB Winter Meetings are just on the horizon.

For the Orioles, who want to prove their 103 wins wasn't a fluke, this could be one of the most pivotal winters in franchise history.
