Ha-Seong-Kim signed with the San Diego Padres near the end of 2020 and he immediately became a fan favorite. Whether it's his special bond with every member on the roster, the crowd chanting his name every time he steps up to the plate, or his hilarious Instagram presence, there is just something that embodies him within the most popular players on the Friars.

And Petco Park was left in awe after Kim's clutch performance on Monday night. The Padres were stuck in a back and forth battle and losing against the Diamondbacks would've meant them losing all their momentum from last week.

However, Kim stepped up to the plate following a David Dahl home run at the bottom of the ninth as the game was now tied 4-4. With all eyes on him and the entire fanbase yelling his name, he delivered with his own walk-off home run that won them the game in historic fashion.

It was an amazing moment for the 27-year-old who has proven to rise in high-pressure moment before. Kim is the type of player that you need on a championship roster. Other than the usual stars, he is someone that will make big plays when his number is called.

In his postgame interview, he shared a loving message to the Padres and their fans after getting a Gatorade shower.

"I knew the pitcher was going to attack me in that zone so I was looking for fastballs," said Kim, with the help of his translator. "I was looking since the first pitch and I was able to get a home run. Happy is the only word I can describe, happy."

"Thank you, I love you !"

Xander Bogaerts was the clear leader of the team these past few games but with Juan Soto finally seeing hits and Kim making one of the biggest plays of his life, the rest of the squad is looking up.
