Padres News: Juan Soto Assures Friars will Protect Fernando Tatis Jr. on the Road

Majority of the San Diego Padres' fanbase sees how close Fernando Tatis Jr. is to returning and are getting ready to throw a parade. He hasn't suited up since 2021 but he has only grown since the, both baseball-wise and maturity-wise.
Back then, his name seemed to always be in the headlines for the wrong reasons and he quickly became public enemy number one. However, the tides have turned and the only reasons we see him in the news now are because he discussing how he's going to help the team when he is back or because he's been giving fans an amazing sneak peak in AAA.
And sneak peak is a bit of an understatement as over his last 12 at-bats with the El Paso Chihuahua's, he's garnered a hit in ten of them and also has six home runs over that span. He has been dominating the competition and is clearly showing the franchise he's ready to re-join them.

However, there are just some people that will always look to try to get in a successful athlete's head. Fans do tend to get a little bold at games to try and get a reaction, look no further than the Anthony Rendon situation. This will likely be the case when Tatis hits road games this season.
But superstar teammate Juan Soto assured that if it's anything more than some boo's from the crowd, El Niño is with his teammates and has nothing to worry about.
"He's gonna be with us, he'll be playing baseball," said Soto. "If they don't boo you, you aren't doing your job right so that doesn't matter. We're used to that, he's gonna be fine." (Via Marty Caswell)
It is great to see Soto already looking out for Tatis who he will share the field with for the first time and it will be in the outfield together.
