The Padres were off Thursday after a busy trade deadline in which they added some bats for the bottom of their lineup and a few key pieces in their pitching rotation.

After going 6-4 in their last 10 games, the Padres are still 4.5 games out of the NL Wild Card. With Michael Wacha still on the injured list, adding starting pitcher Rich Hill could bolster the Padres' rotation.

Hill will debut Sunday against his former team, the Los Angeles Dodgers.
