Your San Diego Padres took two games of their two-game mini-series against their division rivals San Francisco Giants, in Mexico City. The Padres won in big fashion on Saturday, 16-11, and Sunday, 6-4.

The team only spent three days in Mexico, but it was filled with memories. Many of the players enjoyed their time in the nation's capital, especially star outfielder Juan Soto. Soto had one heck of a series against the Giants and wished the fans of Mexico a farewell and thanks after Sunday's game.

In the weekend series, Soto went 3-for-6 with two runs, one home run, two RBIs, and four walks. The lefty slugger looked as good as he has all season long, and hopefully, this is a sign of things to come for Soto.

This was the first time MLB teams played in Mexico City. The two division rivals were supposed to play this series in 2020, but the pandemic struck, and it had to be pushed back. Both games were filled with action, many runs, and an electric crowd itching for this moment to arrive.

The games and crowd were great, and hopefully, this is the first of many series' that Mexico City hosts. Till next time!
