The San Diego Padres will open their 2024 season in South Korea for the Seoul Series against the rival Los Angeles Dodgers. It will be an exciting environment for all as the game of baseball continues to grow across the globe.

Both the Padres and Dodgers showcase some real star power on their rosters, but the stars of the show between the two cities might be the food.

San Diego and Los Angeles are known for having some of the best food spots in the United States, a reputation that extends into their respective ballparks.

It seems some of the food that makes both Petco Park and Dodger Stadium unique will also be making the trip across the Pacific for the Seoul Series. It has been announced that Major League Baseball and each team is bringing one of their regional favorites to the series.

The two dishes: the famous Barrio Doggs from Petco Park and Dodger Dogs from Dodger Stadium. Hot dogs are a staple for a baseball game, and fans in attendance will get to experience first-hand some of these items.

For those not familiar with the Barrio Doggs, they are a consistent favorite in Petco Park. The hot dogs are topped with mayo, mustard, ketchup, grilled onions and cheddar cheese. They are then topped with diced red onion, Roma tomato, fresh jalapeno, sour cream, salsa verde sriracha aioli, crunchy garlic and cilantro.

They come in different toppings, but this is the El Xolito that is served in the ballpark. It's an experience for all to try, and if you are attending the Seoul Series, make sure to grab one.

Born in the industrial Barrio Logan area adjacent to Petco Park, the original Barrio Doggs were served from a mobile kitchen built from a 1964 Impala, according to the restaurant's website
