Billy Joel-Stevie Nicks Show Could Cause Rangers-Orioles ALDS Traffic 'The Longest Time'

Billy Joel and Stevie Nicks are co-headlining a concert at 7 p.m. Saturday at M&T Bank Stadium, next door to Camden Yards. The Texas Rangers and Baltimore Orioles start Game 1 of their ALDS at 1 p.m.

BALTIMORE — Baltimore officials may have felt some "Pressure" leading up to Saturday night.

Or maybe it was a moment "Dreams" are made of.

Billy Joel and Stevie Nicks are co-headlining a sold-out concert at M&T Bank Stadium next door to Camden Yards Saturday night, which is one reason the Texas Rangers and Baltimore Orioles are starting their ALDS Game 1 at noon Saturday. In fact, inclement weather has delayed the noon start. An exact start time has yet to be determined.

So there's potential that fans will be leaving Camden Yards around the same time other fans are arriving at M&T Bank Stadium. On top of all the traffic mess, it has been drizzling all Saturday morning in Baltimore. Not ideal for both open-air stadiums.

A night game would have been a traffic nightmare in downtown Baltimore, causing fans for both events "The Longest Time" to get in and out of the area.

Thankfully, the Ravens are playing the Steelers in Pittsburgh on Sunday. So the Rangers-Orioles Game 2 at 3 p.m. won't have any such conflict.

The Ravens' official X account posted a message to fans about parking.

"If any unpredictable circumstances arise that will further delay the opening of parking lots at the Camden Yards Sports Complex, we will communicate updates here and e-mail individuals who purchased parking in advance," the message said.

The Joel-Nicks concert is the same tour scheduled for AT&T Stadium in April but had to be postponed to March 9, 2024 because of an illness in Nicks' crew.

The Rangers hope to be a "Big Shot" in Baltimore against the Orioles and "Movin' Out" back to Arlington with a series lead.

In fact, they'll take a "Landslide" victory, if possible. That would be fine with Rangers fans, who are ready for the club to "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around."

I could do this all night. But I won't. You're welcome.
