Jonah Heim and the Texas Rangers put Tuesday's replay ruling controversy behind them in a 6-3 win over the Chicago White Sox on Wednesday night.

Heim's three-run home run in the fifth inning pushed the Rangers' lead to 6-1, a night after he was called for catcher interference on a controversial play that allowed the go-ahead run in a loss.

It's Heim's 10th homer. He's the fourth Rangers catcher to hit at least 10 home runs in a season three times. He finished 2-for-4 with three RBI.

Ezequiel Duran hit a two-run homer in the fourth to give the Rangers (46-28) a 3-1 lead. Texas won its second consecutive series. The American League West leaders also beat the White Sox (32-44) in a road series for the second straight season.

Rangers left-hander Martín Pérez (7-3) turned around some of his road woes, allowing three runs (two earned) on four hits and two walks over seven innings. He entered the game 3-2 with a 6.50 ERA in road starts.

Josh Sborz and Will Smith combined for the final six outs.

Michael Kopech (3-6) took the loss after allowing three runs on four hits and three walks in four innings. He struck out five.

The Rangers are off Thursday before starting a three-game series at the New York Yankees on Friday. With that series, the Rangers will play 17 games in 17 days before the All-Star break.
