Texas Rangers Still in Playoff Mix After Astros Sweep
The Texas Rangers face-planted against the Houston Astros on Wednesday, falling 12-3. The Astros swept them out of playoff position in the American League.
But not out of the playoff picture.
While the Rangers are now the pursuer for both an AL West title and a Wild Card berth, there is still time for the Rangers to make up ground on both the Astros and the Seattle Mariners, who head to Tampa Bay to take on the Rays for four games. The Rangers, meanwhile, host the Oakland Athletics starting on Friday.
But first the Rangers get a day off and a chance to mentally reset after one of their worst series in recent history.
