The Boston Red Sox scored six runs in the seventh inning to blow past the Texas Rangers 10-6 Thursday at Fenway Park.

The Red Sox had seven hits, including two infield singles, and two walks in the inning to turn a one-run deficit into a five-run lead to take two of three games in the series.

The Rangers (51-37) have lost six of their past eight games. The held onto a two-game lead atop the American League West with the Houston Astros losing to the Seattle Mariners.

It was another rough night for the Texas bullpen. Josh Sborz, who recorded the final out in the sixth after taking over for Brock Burke, who relieved starter Nathan Eovaldi with one out and one on in the inning, started the seventh.

Sborz was replaced by Grant Anderson after a double and two walks. He was charged with three runs while recording one out in the inning. Anderson allowed three runs on three hits and failed to record an out. John King allowed three hits, including two infield singles.

Jose Leclerc, who was activated off the injured list before the game, recorded a strikeout to finally end the inning. It was Leclerc's first action since June 20.

The Red Sox scored a run in the first and two in the third as Eovaldi struggled with his command. The Rangers All-Star right-hander walked a season-high four batters for the second consecutive start and was charged with four runs on five hits in 5 1/3 inning.

Jonah Heim's single in the second scored Adolis Garcia to tie it at 1-1.

In the fourth, the Rangers tied it at 3-3 with two runs on Robbie Grossman's sacrifice fly and Leody Taveras' single.

The Rangers start a three-game series at the Washington Nationals at 6:05 p.m. Friday. It's the final series before the All-Star Break. The second half starts with the Rangers hosting the Cleveland Guardians July 14 at Globe Life Field.
