Texas Rangers Rookie Josh Jung Gets Special FOCO Bobblehead
Texas Rangers third baseman Josh Jung is the back-to-back American League Rookie of the Month.
He’s an obvious favorite for Rookie of the Year.
He’s a major reason the Rangers are leading the AL West and in position to snap a long postseason drought.
So, of course, he deserves his own special bobblehead.
To help commemorate what’s surely to be a special season, FOCO has launched the Josh Jung Texas Rangers Rookie Bobblehead on Tuesday. The limited-edition bobble features Jung in an action pose atop a thematic rookie base, with his name and No. 6 displayed and the phrase “Welcome To The Show” on the backplate.
Jung is one of just four rookies receiving the “Welcome To The Show” treatment, along with Shintaro Fujinami (Oakland Athletics), Gavin Stone (Los Angeles Dodgers) and Dylan Dodd (Atlanta Braves). Only 96 bobbles are available for each of the rookies, ensuring their value and collectability.
The rookie bobbleheads stand eight inches tall and retail for $70. The Jung version is available, along with the rest of the Texas Rangers collection, here at FOCO.com.
Jung became the first AL rookie to win back-to-back monthly awards since the Seattle Mariners’ Julio Rodríguez in May and June of 2022. Jung also joined Nomar Mazara in 2016 (April and May) as just the second player in Rangers history to take consecutive Rookie of the Month honors.
The last rookie to win the award in April and May was the Miami Marlins’ Trevor Rogers in 2021, and Jung is the first to do it in the American League since the New York Yankees’ Aaron Judge in 2017.
The 25-year-old San Antonio native finished May with a .318/.357/.561/.917 (34-107) slash line over 26 game, ranking among AL rookies for the month in slugging pct. (1st), total bases (1st, 60), extra-base hits (1st, 13), runs (1st, 22), hits (T1st), home runs (T1st, 6), RBI (T1st, 16), batting average (2nd), OPS (2nd) and times on base (3rd, 41).
