Texas Rangers Reveal Rosters for All Minor League Affiliates

The Texas Rangers are stocking the rosters for their four minor league teams.

The Texas Rangers revealed their rosters for their four minor-league affiliates on Wednesday, the eve of Opening Day against the Philadelphia Phillies.

The Rangers minor-league affiliates: Triple-A Round Rock, Double-A Frisco, High Class-A Hickory and Low Class-A Down East. Several teams begin action next week.

Outfielder, Evan Carter, considered by most to be the organization’s No. 1 prospect that hasn’t yet played in the Majors, was assigned to Frisco. He’s joined in the RoughRiders outfield by Top 30 prospect in Dustin Harris and Trevor Hauver, the last player acquired in the Joey Gallo trade that hasn’t reached the Majors yet.

Frisco features nine Top 30 prospects, per MLB.com’s rankings. The pitching staff includes Owen White (No. 3), Jack Leiter (No. 5), Tekoah Roby (No. 12), Marc Church (No. 20) and Antoine Kelly (No. 24). Infielders Luisangel Acuña (No. 4) and Thomas Saggese (No. 16) also made that roster.

Round Rock features five Top 30 prospects, including infielder Justin Foscue (No. 7), pitcher Cole Winn (No. 14), infielder Jonathan Ornelas (No. 18), pitcher Zak Kent (No. 22) and pitcher Cory Bradford (No. 27).

Round Rock will also the home of some former Major League players that could be on standby if the Rangers need help due to injury. On Wednesday the Rangers sent down pitcher John King and re-signed pitcher Dominic Leone and assigned him to the Express.

Hickory features No. 10 prospect and pitcher Kumar Rocker, who was the Rangers’ first-round pick in 2022. Other Top 30 prospects with the Crawdads include pitcher Mitch Bratt (No. 17), pitcher Emiliano Teodo (No. 21), outfielder Alejandro Osuna (No. 25), infielder Maximo Acosta (No. 26) and pitcher Josh Stephan (No. 30).

Down East is the destination for last year’s fourth-round pick, Brock Porter, who will join the Wood Ducks straight out of high school. He is the Rangers’ No. 6 overall prospect. Other Top 30 prospects include outfielder Anthony Gutierrez (No. 11), outfielder Yeison Morrobel (No. 13), third baseman Gleider Figuereo (No. 19) and infielder Danyer Cueva (No. 29).

Some Rangers Top 30 prospects are not on minor league rosters yet. No. 9 prospect Aaron Zavala, an outfielder, is still recovering from offseason surgery. Shortstop Sebastian Walcott, the No. 15 prospect, was just signed by the Rangers during the international signing period in January.
