Texas Rangers Nike City Connect Jerseys Going on Sale

The Texas Rangers join five other teams in wearing the Nike City Connect jerseys for the first time in 2023.

The Texas Rangers are unveiling their City Connect jerseys on April 17 and will begin wearing the special Nike uniforms for every Friday home game at Globe Life Field beginning April 21 against the Oakland Athletics at 7:05 p.m.

The Rangers are one of six teams that will wear City Connect jerseys for the first time in 2023. The others are the Atlanta Braves, Seattle Mariners, Cincinnati Reds, Baltimore Orioles and Pittsburgh Pirates.

The Texas Rangers Grand Slam Team Store will begin selling City Connect collection on April 17 at 9 a.m. and will be the exclusive Metroplex venue for sales until April 21. Fans will also be able to purchase the City Connect collection at MLB.com, the Nike app and Nike.com, NewEra.com, Stance.com and the MLB Flagship Store in New York City.

Fans that visit Globe Life Field for the City Connect collection on the morning of April 17 can enjoy free samples from Hurtado Barbeque and Golden Chick outside the Grand Slam Team Store on north plaza until supplies last. Additionally, fans will have photo opportunities on the plaza with several of the new uniform design features.

Fans are invited to park in Tundra Lot B and enter the Grand Slam Team Store from the north plaza entrance.

The Nike MLB City Connect Series launched in 2021 and was formed to celebrate the connection between the specific club and its city. Along with debuting the uniforms on April 21, the Rangers will wear them again the following night against the Athletics.

The April 21 date is of great significance for the Rangers franchise. The team played its first ever game at Arlington Stadium on April 21,1972.

Also on April 21, the first 30,000 fans will receive the commemorative City Connect Program giveaway and the first 15,000 will collect the City Connect-themed Marcus Semien Bobblehead giveaway. The Semien bobblehead is the first of a three-part City Connect bobblehead series also featuring Corey Seager on May 19 and Jacob deGrom on June 16.
