Texas Rangers Prospect Cody Bradford Still Undefeated at Triple-A

Cody Bradford continued his incredible start to the 2023 season for the Texas Rangers' Triple-A affiliate.

Texas Rangers pitching prospect Cody Bradford continued his red-hot start to the 2023 season with his fifth win for the Triple-A Round Rock Express on Wednesday night.

Round Rock beat Albuquerque 8-2 at Dell Diamond.

Bradford has been the best starting pitcher in the Rangers organization for the first month of the season. He's 5-0 and lowered his ERA to 0.64.

Bradford threw five shutout innings Wednesday and has thrown at least five innings in all five starts. He’s given up just three earned runs in 28 1/3 innings and has not allowed a run in three starts.

On Wednesday he gave up three hits, no runs and two walks while striking out four.

In the improvement in his ERA has been the most telling improvement this season. The former Baylor star had an ERA of 5.01 last season for Double-A Frisco, going 10-7.

Bradford isn’t as highly-touted as some of the Rangers’ other pitching prospects. But the 25-year-old is the Rangers No. 26 prospect per MLB.com. Bradford was a non-roster invitee to Spring Training.

The Rangers took Bradford as their sixth-round pick in 2019. He went 12-11 in three seasons at Baylor with a 3.86 ERA.
