The Texas Rangers will select No. 4 overall in the 2023 MLB Draft, which starts on Sunday in Seattle. Here’s everything you need to know about the draft from a Rangers perspective.

Sunday: The 2023 MLB Draft will start at 6 p.m. central with the first round, prospect promotion incentive picks, competitive balance Round A, the second round, competitive balance Round B and the compensatory round, for a total of 70 selections.

ESPN, MLB Network, and MLB.com will broadcast the first round. MLB Network and MLB.com will provide live coverage of the rest of Day 1.

The Rangers have one selection on Sunday, No. 4 overall. The Rangers moved into the No. 4 position from the No. 7 position as a result of the MLB Draft Lottery, which took place last offseason.

The Rangers surrendered their second-round pick as compensation for signing free-agent pitcher Jacob deGrom.

Monday: Rounds 3-10 will begin at 1 p.m. central. The Rangers will select No. 7 in each round, with the exception of the third round. The Rangers surrendered that selection as compensation for signing free-agent pitcher Nathan Eovaldi.

Live coverage of the draft will be on MLB.com.

Tuesday: Rounds 11-20 will begin at 1 p.m. central. The Rangers will select No. 7 in each round.

Live coverage of the draft will be on MLB.com.
