Watch: Josh Jung Blasts Home Run For Texas Rangers Lead Over Orioles

Texas Rangers third baseman Josh Jung hit his second home run of the season, a two-run blast Wednesday to take the lead over the Baltimore Orioles.

Arlington, Texas — Texas Rangers third baseman Josh Jung has been an absolute revelation this season. The rookie has excelled on the field defensively and at the plate with his approach.

Jung, hitting in the five hole on Wednesday, blasted his second home run of the 2023 MLB season. It was a two-run, go-ahead bomb that also scored Adolis García.

Jung's home run travelled 378 feet, came off the bat at 100.5-mph and had a launch angle of 33 degrees. He deposited it into the right field stands.

That two-run bomb put the Rangers ahead 4-2 over the Baltimore Orioles as Texas tried to avoid the sweep before heading to Chicago to take on the Cubs in a three-game set.

Jung's home run also put starting pitcher Jacob deGrom in position to earn his first win with the Rangers after tossing six innings while allowing just one earned run on two hits and striking out 11.
