Only One Texas Ranger Reached 20 Homers Faster Than Josh Jung
Only one Texas Rangers player has reached 20 career home runs faster than Josh Jung.
The Rangers third baseman bat third for the first time in his career in Monday's 5-2 win against the Chicago White Sox.
First baseman Nathaniel Lowe — who normally bats third — moved into the No. 5 spot.
Jung hit a solo home run off of White Sox starter Tanner Banks in the third. Jung's 15th homer of the season put the Rangers up 2-0.
It's his 20th career home run after hitting five in 26 games in 2022.
The home run came with significance for Jung. It came in his 95th career game.
Only one Rangers player has reached 20 career homers faster and that's former first baseman Chris Davis. Davis hit No. 20 in his 94th game on April 23, 2009 at Toronto.
