It sounds like the New York Yankees may end up bolstering their starting rotation very soon.

New York has been linked to a handful of starters but has been most connected to two-time All-Star Marcus Stroman over the past few days. The 32-year-old has expressed interest in joining the Yankees and it sounds like a move could be a possibility.

While a deal hasn't happened yet, landing Stroman reportedly is the "most likely" option at this point for New York, according to MLB Network's Jon Morosi.

"Marcus Stroman and the New York Yankees have had substantive conversations in recent days and the Yankees indeed at this hour are the favorites to sign Marcus Stroman," Morosi said. "And what a great story that would be. He already pitched for the New York Mets in his hometown...

"Stroman, I think, fits the Yankees very well in a lot of different ways. We know first and foremost they have a lot of work to do in that rotation. They traded away Michael King in the Juan Soto deal. Luis Severino actually did the opposite going from the Yankees to the Mets..."Stroman to the Yankees is the most likely of the Yankees' situations right now."

New York needs another hurler and Stroman could be the perfect option. The Yankees need a No. 2 or No. 3 starter and Stroman fits that bill and won't cost too much. He was an All-Star in 2023 and logged a 3.95 ERA in 27 total outings with a 119-to-52 strikeout-to-walk ratio.

The Yankees need to make another move and it sounds like they may land their guy soon.
