The Bulls are expected to sign free-agent forward Lou Amundson to a 10-day contract, according to reports from ESPN.com and the Chicago Tribune. The Tribune reported that the Heat, Celtics and Knicks were also interested in his services.

Amundson, 30, has bounced around between six NBA teams during his seven-year NBA career. He signed a one-year contract with the Timberwolves in September but was released on Feb. 8 to accommodate the signings of Chris Johnson and Mickael Gelabele.

A garbage man rebounder and hustle player, Amundson holds career averages of 3.8 points and 3.6 rebounds in 12.9 minutes per game. He appeared in just 20 games for the Timberwolves this season, averaging 1.6 points and 2.4 rebounds per game.

Chicago's roster is currently at 14 players, leaving one open spot with which to sign a free-agent. Amundson would join a big man rotation that includes All-Star center Joakim Noah, starting power forward Carlos Boozer, and reserves Taj Gibson and Nazr Mohammed.
