Report: Kings center DeMarcus Cousins has viral meningitis
Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousins has viral meningitis, reports USA Today.
According to the report, Cousins is recovering slowly and is expected to miss at least another seven to 10 days. He has already missed five games because of it.
On Wednesday, the Kings announced that Cousins was hospitalized with a viral infection and would not play this weekend. It was originally thought that he would return this week.

The 24-year-old last played in a Nov. 26 loss to the Houston Rockets. Cousins is averaging 23.5 points and 12.6 rebounds through 15 games this season, the latter of which leads the NBA.
Ryan Hollins has been starting in place of Cousins at center for Sacramento.
The Kings (10-10) host the Utah Jazz (5-15) on Monday.
