Victor Wembanyama Went Between the Legs of His Defender and NBA Fans Were Blown Away
Victor Wembanyama has yet to make his official NBA regular season debut, but he continues to stun basketball fans with the skills he brings to the court.
The No. 1 pick of this year’s NBA draft blew fans away again on Wednesday night in the Spurs’ preseason game against the Rockets.
The 7’4” center was dribbling down the court when Rockets’ Reggie Bullock Jr. got in his way. Instead of stopping or potentially passing the ball to a teammate to get out of the defender’s way, Wembanyama showed why he is special.
The Frenchman dribbled the ball right under Bullock’s legs and kept charging towards the hoop—this is better known as “nutmegging” in basketball terms.
In case you were unaware, the tallest players in the league don’t normally have success with this skill.
Fans on social media couldn’t believe their eyes as Wembanyama made this play look easy. Check out some of the best reactions to the Spurs star’s unique dribble.
Wembanyama will make his regular season debut on Wednesday, Oct. 25 against the Mavericks.
