Doc Rivers Hints Giannis, Damian Lillard Could Return in Bucks-Pacers Game 6
The Bucks coach addressed the status of his two stars after Game 5.
The Milwaukee Bucks survived an elimination game Tuesday night without their star-studded duo in Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard, defeating the Indiana Pacers 115–92 at Fiserv Forum.
It appears there's a chance both players could suit up for Game 6.
"I don't know how to answer that," Rivers said to reporters when asked about Antetokounmpo's and Lillard's timeline for return. "I know I hope. I think they're very, very, very close."
Antetokounmpo hasn't played in the postseason due to a calf strain he sustained April 9. Lillard averaged 32.3 points in three playoff games before suffering an Achilles strain Friday, forcing him to miss Game 4 and Game 5.
The Bucks will have to stave off elimination once again Thursday in Game 6 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. If they do, Milwaukee will force Game 7 back at home. Whether Lillard and Antetokounmpo will take the floor is yet to be determined.
