76ers Injury Report: PJ Tucker’s Status vs. Pacers on Monday
*Correction: PJ Tucker was not a participant during the Sixers' Monday morning shootaround session. He remains questionable for Monday's game.
The Philadelphia 76ers have some injury concerns ahead of Monday’s game against the Indiana Pacers. Among multiple players listed on the injury report is the veteran forward PJ Tucker.
Tucker’s presence on the injury report doesn’t come as much of a surprise. As the Sixers battled the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday night, Tucker was one of two players to leave the game early due to an in-game setback. He joined the team’s other starting forward, Tobias Harris.
While Harris was battling a calf contusion, Tucker was dealing with back spasms. After checking into Saturday’s game for a little over 19 minutes, Tucker returned to the locker room during the third quarter. Not long after leaving the court, the Sixers ruled Tucker out for the rest of the night.
After the comeback win, Sixers head coach Doc Rivers left some uncertainty about Tucker’s playing status for Monday’s game on the road. While Rivers didn’t have a definitive answer on Tucker’s situation, his educated guess was that the veteran would not be ready to play in time.
Leading up to Monday’s game, Tucker is on the Sixers’ injury report listed as questionable with back spasms. While it seems he’s a 50-50 shot to play right now, Tucker was not a participant in Philadelphia’s Monday morning shootaround in Indiana, according to Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer.
While his participation in Monday’s shootaround session doesn’t guarantee whether he’ll play or not on Monday, the fact that Tucker even has a chance to play is a good sign that he’s not dealing with anything too significant on the injury front.
The Sixers and the Pacers are set to tip-off at 7 PM ET on Monday.
