Sixers' PJ Tucker Suffers Injury vs. Bucks on Saturday
The Philadelphia 76ers are having a tough night on the road against the Milwaukee Bucks.
Not long after the Sixers were forced to rule out the veteran forward Tobias Harris for the remainder of the game as he’s dealing with a calf injury, the Sixers also ruled out the other veteran starting forward PJ Tucker, as he’s experiencing back spasms.
Tucker appeared on the court for a little over 19 minutes on Saturday night. During that time, he put up four shots from the field, with three of his attempts coming from beyond the arc. Tucker went scoreless from three and made just one of his shots for two points.
The veteran was healthy going into halftime but was seen walking back to the locker room after leaving the court early in the second half. After getting checked out, the Sixers officially ruled out Tucker for the remainder of the night.
He wrapped up his game with two points, two rebounds, one assist, and a steal.
Tucker was the second player to be ruled out during the game on Saturday night.
In the first half, Harris started dealing with a sore calf. After checking in for just 13 minutes on Saturday, Harris had to get his calf checked out. After appearing on the court in the first half, Harris was ruled out for the entire second half.
Calf soreness isn’t a new setback for Harris, who was held out late in the game on Monday against the Miami Heat because of it. While he played in the following two games and initially avoided the injury report on Saturday night going into the matchup against the Bucks, Harris’s recent setback will be something to keep an eye on.
Tucker’s recent setback will be something to pay attention to moving forward as well.
