The Philadelphia 76ers are back on the court Wednesday night to take on the Dallas Mavericks for the second and final time this season.

Earlier this month, the two teams faced off in Dallas. In a high-scoring offensive shootout, the Sixers couldn’t contain the new-look Dallas backcourt of Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving. Each guard took 22 shots, and each guy scored at least 40 points. As a collective, Doncic and Irving knocked down 13 threes.

While the Sixers had a decent scoring effort from Joel Embiid, James Harden, and Tyrese Maxey, they didn’t have enough to take down the Mavericks. The Sixers were served with a 133-126 loss in Dallas.

Although it seemed the Mavericks were figuring it out back in early March, they’ve struggled to maintain the same excellence beyond their game against the Sixers. Can they get back on track in a matchup against a potentially shorthanded Philly team? Or will the Sixers climb out of their three-game slump?
