What we learned from the Chicago Bulls' rout of the San Antonio Spurs

The Chicago Bulls remained undefeated during their current homestand as they beat the San Antonio Spurs, 114-95, on Thursday night at the United Center. The win was the Bulls’ third in a row, and it pushed their record to 13-17. Here are a couple of takeaways from Chicago’s dominant victory.
Kept Victor Wembanyama in check
The Spurs came to town hoping to ride the brilliance of rookie phenom Victor Wembanyama to just their fifth victory of the season. However, the Bulls’ defense had other plans. After the 7'4" wunderkind produced 21 points, 20 rebounds, and four assists in their first match-up earlier this month.
Chicago’s defense was much prepared this time around and held Wembanyama to a career-low seven points on 3-of-8 shooting. His previous low mark was eight points, which came against the Oklahoma City Thunder last month.

Bulls’ three-point shooting goes cold
One night after shooting almost 53 percent from beyond the arc, the Bulls struggled to connect from long distance on the second night of a back-to-back set. They made just one of their 14 attempts in the first half, and finished the game shooting 7-of-28 from beyond the arc.
Coby White had only two three-pointers, but these came in the fourth quarter when the Bulls pulled away for good. White continued his splendid play this month, putting up 22 points, six rebounds, and five assists.
The former Tar Heel is averaging 24.5 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 6.4 assists per game this December, making 51.8 percent of his shots, including a blistering 48.8 percent from deep.
