The Chicago Bulls kept their mini-run alive when they took down the reeling San Antonio Spurs, 121-112, on Friday night at the Frost Bank Center. It was the Bulls’ fourth-straight win in the season, stretching what is by far their longest winning streak after they absorbed five successive losses.

Here are a couple of takeaways from the convincing wins.

Total team effort

The Bulls used a balanced attack to score just their second road win in the season. Chicago improved to 2-8 away from home after snapping a seven-game road skid.

The Bulls had four players scoring at least 20 points each, with Coby White leading the way with a game-high 24 points,

Nikola Vucevic finished with 21 points, while DeMar DeRozan and Patrick Williams chipped in 20 points each. DeRozan did a good job of finding his open teammates with his 10 assists.

Torrey Craig gave the Bulls a huge lift off the bench as he contributed 16 points on a 5-for-7 shooting from the field.

Torrey’s second-half show

Chicago turned things around behind a remarkable second-half showing.

The Bulls turned a 52-63 halftime deficit into an 87-83 lead going into the final quarter by staging a 35-20 run in the third. Craig was responsible for the Bulls’ second-half uprising after scoring all of his 16 points in the final two quarters.

Craig went 5-for-7 from the three-point area and made all of his three-pointers in the second half.

San Antonio’s top rookie Victor Wembanyama scored 21 points and collected 20 rebounds. While Wembanayama had a strong rebounding effort, it was the Bulls who dominated the boards after they collected 56 rebounds to the opponent’s 44.

Chicago had 24 offensive rebounds, while San Antonio only had 10. The Bulls should continue building from these four wins as their schedule is getting tougher with a lot of championship contenders in the following weeks.
