The Cleveland Cavaliers had a tough loss to the Boston Celtics last Wednesday.

The final score isn't representative of how the game actually went for the Cavs. Even though they only lost by just four points, the Celtics held a big lead for the majority of the game with their largest being 21 points. A few late threes gave Cleveland some hope, but that door was quickly slammed shut.

Luckily for the Cavs, they'll get another shot at the Celtics on Monday night, this time on their own floor.

Cleveland is going to need to find some scoring from their reserves if they have any hope of beating the Celtics. They only had 14 bench points last Wednesday and this was split between Ricky Rubio and Caris LeVert.

The Celtics are a deep team and the Cavs need to do everything they can to match that depth.

Getting more contributions from the bench will also help on the Donovan Mitchell front. Mitchell reaggravated a groin injury last week against the Celtics and he was in visible pain even though he stayed in the game. Mitchell then did not return against the Pistons on Friday night (although he was labeled as probable to return) with a finger sprain.

Mitchell has still looked sharp despite playing through some nagging injuries and they could easily catch up with him at any time. Knowing the bench has his back could help him relax more on the floor.

Cleveland may have the immediate advantage heading into this one because of Boston's schedule. Their game against the Cavs on Monday will be the second half of a back-to-back and their Sunday night game was all-hands on deck for the Celtics.

They started off the two-game set with an overtime loss to the New York Knicks at home. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown each played over 45 minutes and combined for 95 points.

It was an exciting game to watch, but those two will most likely be feeling the fatigue on Monday night.

If everything can go right for the Cavs then they could come out of Monday night winning the season's series against the Celtics. That's not something a lot of teams can say they did this season.
