Evan Mobley To Participate In The 2023 Rising Stars Game
Donovan Mitchell won't be the only member of the Cavs representing Cleveland in Utah on All-Star weekend. Sophomore forward Evan Mobley has also been chosen to participate in this year's Rising Stars Game.
This isn't the first time that Mobley has participated in All-Star weekend, even though it's just his second year in the NBA. Last year the All-Star game took place in Cleveland, Ohio and the Cavs had a team of three participants in the skills challenge. This team included Mobley, Jarrett Allen, and Darius Garland.
This team actually went on to win the competition!
Mobley joins a stacked roster of young talent in the NBA that will be showcased in this game. The NBA players are:
- Paolo Banchero
- Jalen Duren
- AJ Griffin
- Jaden Ivey
- Walker Kessler
- Benedict Mathurin
- Keegan Murray
- Andrew Nembhard
- Jabari Smith Jr.
- Jermy Sochan
- Jalen William
- Jose Alvarado
- Scottie Barnes
- Josh Giddey
- Jalen Green
- Quentin Grimes
- Bones Hyland
- Trey Murphy III
- Alperen Sengun
- Franz Wagner
This game will also feature some of the G League's brightest talent as well which is a great opportunity for them to get their name out there.
- Scoot Henderson
- Sidy Cissoko
- Mojave King
- Kenneth Lofton Jr.
- Leonard Miller
- Mac McClung
- Scotty Pippen Jr.
The Rising Stars Game has always been one of my favorite events of the weekend. It's always a joy to watch these young NBA players have fun in a low-pressure event. There's so much weight on their shoulders and to give them an opportunity to just go play basketball makes it enjoyable to watch.
