Final Injury Status For Darius Garland And Jarrett Allen Against The Hornets
The Cleveland Cavaliers have had to deal with multiple injuries scares over the last 48 hours.
First, Darius Garland was ruled out on Friday night against the Miami Heat after injuring his quad on Wednesday. Next, during that same game, Jarrett Allen was helped off the floor after being poked in the eye in the closing minutes.
There is some good news on both fronts though.
Reports indicate that DG will be AVAILABLE for the Cavs on Sunday evening as they take on Charlotte Hornets. It appears he just needed the one game off and a few extra rest days to get back to being fully healthy.
Jarrett Allen will remain OUT against the Hornets, but he may not be looking at as long of an absence as many feared after witnessing the injury.
Tests came back and showed no structural damage to Allen's eye but he was still diagnosed with a contusion which can't feel great. Still, this is a much better outcome than could've been a season-ending injury.
Both Garland and Allen are vital parts of Cleveland's offense. It's a great sign the DG will be back on the floor, however, now we need to get JA back to full health too.
