Isaac Okoro Did Something Funny After Cavs' Win Vs. Warriors
There's no doubt that the Cleveland Cavaliers miss Isaac Okoro on the court, but at the very least Ice is still being Ice off of it.
Following the team's win on Sunday against the Golden State Warriors, reporters were asking Caris LeVert about his terrific performance and the wine-and-gold's latest win. In the middle of the press conference, Okoro took it upon himself to joke around and be an honorary member of the media.
"Isaac Okoro, Cleveland Cavaliers small forward," the 22-year-old said with a serious tone. "Caris LeVert, these past three games you've just been on a roll. You've been a guy leading us. You've been more aggressive on offense. You've been taking the challenges on defense. Has your mindset changed these past three games? What has changed?"
Hilariously enough, LeVert actually offered up a serious response.
“When you’re missing a key guy like Isaac Okoro, I think everyone has to step up on both sides of the ball," LeVert said. "Ice is a great player, obviously defensively, but I think he’s very underrated offensively in transition, cutting, knocking down corner threes. So, I think with him out, everyone kind of had to take a step forward, and myself included. So I just try to be that for the team.”
"It's been a pleasure watching you," Okoro continued as LeVert laughed. "These past three games, just have been real impressed watching you on the bench. [I'm] hoping to be back out there, but you're on a roll, keep it continuing into Sacramento and let's get this dub. Let 'em know."
LeVert told Okoro to get well soon: "We need you."
Okoro has been known to be one of the funnier guys on the team since arriving in Cleveland. He hasn't messing been around on the floor though when he's healthy, putting together a solid start to his fourth season.
Meanwhile, LeVert just may be the Cavs' X-factor.
