The Cleveland Cavaliers have been incredibly active over the last few days. They started off free agency by resigning Caris LeVert and bringing in Georges Niang on a three-year deal. Then they made a splash by pulling off a sign-and-trade for Max Strus.

However, Koby Altman and the front office may not be done making moves just yet.

There were a number of rumors flying around before the NBA Draft that the Cavs could move Jarrett Allen. However, as the Draft came and went, those whispers started to die down.

But all those trade rumblings are starting to heat back up. NBA Insider Marc Stein said early on Sunday that, “ there have been some whispers this week that the Cavaliers are more open to trading Jarrett Allen than advertised.”

If the Cavs moved on from Allen there would be many questions that follow:

Who would it be for? Cleveland already has their starting small forward with the signing of Strus to a four-year deal. What other position could they improve at with trading Allen?

Would they pick up another center? The Cavs are already thin in the frontcourt. If they traded JA they'd only have Evan Mobley and Damian Jones who could play the center. The move could include a big man, but what center is truly available that's better than Allen?

Draft picks? If Cleveland deals Allen for a package surrounding draft picks, it signals that the team is not serious about winning. They have a window of contention opening and trading away a former All-Star to recoup draft capital isn't a way of showing Donovan Michell and company that the team is willing to go for it all.
