The Cavaliers Fan Guide For 2024 NBA All-Star Weekend
With this year’s NBA All-Star Break comes 2024 NBA All-Star Weekend, which begins tonight.
Although the Cleveland Cavaliers do not play until February 22, the Wine and Gold will be well-represented over the three days’ worth of festivities.
Here is a guide for when Cleveland fans can watch two Cavaliers players compete during this year’s All-Star Weekend.
2024 NBA Panini Rising Stars (Tonight, 9 p.m., TNT and truTV)
Two-Way Rookie Emoni Bates will participate in the 2024 NBA Panini Rising Stars, where he will be playing for Team Detlef.
Team Detlef will play in the second semifinal against Team Pau at 9:30 p.m. If Bates’s team wins, it will face the winner of Team Jalen vs. Team Tamika for the tournament championship.
2024 NBA State Farm All-Star Saturday Night (Tomorrow, 8 p.m., TNT)
Donovan Mitchell will be competing in the second event of the night, the Starry Three-Point Contest.
Mitchell looks to become the third player in Cavaliers history to win the event, and first player in NBA history to win both a Slam Dunk and Three-Point Contest.
2024 NBA G League Up Next Game (Sunday, 1:30 p.m., nbagleague.com, NBA G League YouTube Channel, and NBA App)
Bates will play in the NBA G League’s four-team, tournament-style All-Star showcase. He will be on Team Ballislife, whose general manager is basketball content creator Austin Mills.
If Bates’s team wins its semifinal, he will have a chance to win the showcase’s Championship Game.
2024 NBA All-Star Game (Sunday, 8 p.m., TNT)
Finally, Mitchell will represent the Eastern Conference in the 73rd NBA All-Star Game.
The contest returns to its traditional East vs. West format for the first time since 2017. As a result, the five-time reigning All-Star will be alongside players such as Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jayson Tatum, and Tyrese Haliburton.
