On Saint Patrick’s Day, the Boston Celtics earned a convincing 126-112 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers. Six players scored in double figures, with Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown combining for 61 points.

This is the Celtics’ fourth win out of their last five match-ups, bringing them 1.5 victories away from holding the best record in the NBA.

Joe Mazzulla is credited with motivating the unit to play at their highest level.

Al Horford said Joe Mazzulla "challenged us here to be better as a group, be more focused and really get back to who we are. The group has – we've responded."

Horford registered 12 points and 10 rebounds, and shot for 75 percent from three-point range, against the Trail Blazers.

Marcus Smart said the head coach was "Just constantly holding us accountable. Doing all the little things. Not getting bored with the little things. Just constantly, every play, making the right play."

Smart finished with 15 points, 6 assists, and 4 steals in the Celtics’ win.

Boston will look to continue their win streak against the Utah Jazz on Saturday night.
