Should the Celtics consider a reunion?

Do the Boston Celtics have any moves up their sleeves?

After dealing big man Noah Vonleh to the San Antonio Spurs for a top-55 protected future second-round draft pick on Thursday the Celtics now have an open roster spot and if it was up to Boston star Jayson Tatum, he'd likely use the roster spot for a reunion with former All-Star guard Kemba Walker.

The Mavericks are reportedly waiving the former Celtics guard after a short stint in Dallas, according to ESPN's Tim MacMahon.

After the news was announced, Tatum took to social media with a tweet of his own to show his interest in bringing back the four-time All-star.

While no deal has been talked about and isn't likely at this moment, with an open roster spot who knows what will happen in Boston. The NBA Trade Deadline is coming up on Feb. 9 so Boston likely will keep all options open ahead of the deadline to maximize flexibility, but Walker could be an intriguing bench option for the Celtics.

Boston is pretty secure at the guard position at this moment with Marcus Smart, Derrick White, Malcolm Brogdon, and Payton Pritchard all on the roster but if a spot were to open up, Walker would be an interesting player to watch for Boston to provide a scoring punch off the bench.

A move isn't likely at the moment, but Tatum certainly has shown what he wants the team to do.
