Per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Portland Trail Blazers are trading Jrue Holiday to the Boston Celtics. In exchange, the Celtics will be dealing Robert Williams III, Malcolm Brogdon, and two first-round draft picks to Portland.

Boston's sending the Trail Blazers a 2024 top-four protected first-round selection and a 2029 unprotected opening-round pick.

For the 2022-2023 regular season, Holiday averaged 19.3 points, 7.4 assists, and 5.1 rebounds over 67 games. His accomplishments for the year include an All-Star selection and recognition on the NBA All-Defensive First Team.

Holiday previously split his 14-year-long career between the Philadelphia 76ers, New Orleans Pelicans, and Milwaukee Bucks. The 33-year-old guard won an NBA championship with the Bucks in 2021 and a gold medal with Team USA during the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Holiday’s departure from Milwaukee was done to facilitate the Bucks’ acquisition of Damain Lillard. Meanwhile, Brogdon had been the center of trade rumors over the past few months.
