Boston Celtics guard Derrick White starred on both ends of the floor in the team's 126-115 win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Christmas. He chipped in 18 points, 11 assists, two blocks and two steals across 35 minutes of playing time.

After the win, Kristaps Porzingis — who scored a team-high 28 points against Los Angeles — praised White and called him "the perfect teammate."

"He's kinda like under the radar a little bit," Porzingis said. "But man, he's special. Like the way he plays, like how, I don't know, 90-plus percent of the time — he makes the right play all the time, you know? And that's — that's the perfect teammate you want, you know? And on top of that, he's shooting great percentages and being super efficient."

White, Porzingis and the Celtics will have a prime chance at extending their winning streak to four games when they take on the Detroit Pistons on Thursday. The Pistons are riding a 26-game losing streak right now and own the league's worst record at 2-27.
