LA Clippers guard Bones Hyland addressed the media at All-Star Weekend on Friday morning, and was asked what went wrong with his time with the Denver Nuggets.

"Yeah, I feel like it could have been done better on both ends," Hyland said. "Just more communication. I got so much love for Denver, but I feel like the communication was just so low. We had a lot of mixed emotions and didn't come together and just make it better."

"I felt like it just kept getting worse and worse," Hyland said when asked if there was ever a chance he would stay in Denver. "I feel like [getting traded] was the best thing to happen for me."

Hyland added that the communication between himself and the front office in Denver was great, but the break down was between himself and the coaching staff. Unsure what his role would be on a night to night basis, Hyland admitted not knowing what to expect each day he showed up for work. Had there been a level of communication from the coaching staff, there likely would not have been the break down that ultimately occurred.

On the rumored beef between himself and Jamal Murray, which was reignited when Hyland notably omitted Murray from his answer about the "phenomenal talents" he has played with, Hyland said it's not true.

Now with the Clippers, a place he fell in love with before the draft, Hyland is in a good spot. The young guard is set to compete in the rising stars game, which will be an exciting moment for him and his new fanbase. Bones will always have love for Denver, but it was time for both sides to move on.
