Clippers Coach Addresses Trade Rumors About Young Star

Terance Mann has been at the center of many trade talks

If there's one Clipper whose name has been mentioned all summer in trade talks, it's Terance Mann.

Mann's name has been frequently mentioned when it comes to the LA Clippers trading for James Harden. Even just this week, it was reported that the 76ers covet Terance Mann and that he's the tipping point in the teams making a trade. Whether or not that remains to be true, it seems to be stated by multiple reporters. Prior to those rumors, Mann's name was also mentioned in trade talks for Jrue Holiday as well.

With all of that in mind, it hasn't been an easy summer for Terance Mann. It's been months of his name being mentioned online and offline, and there hasn't quite been any solace from it. Clippers head coach Ty Lue addressed those rumors head-on, and tried to give Mann the comfort he needs.

“We love T-Mann, and T-Mann is gonna be here," Lue said. "So we’re not worried about what they’re saying outside, all the speculations. It’s a good thing to be wanted.”

While Lue's statement doesn't guarantee that Mann is completely safe, it has to provide some level of comfort for Mann. The LA Clippers don't want to trade Terance Mann, if they did, they would have already traded for James Harden by now. What's keeping Mann safe is the fact that no one else wants to trade for Harden.

Terance Mann is a very beloved player both by players and members of the Clippers organization. If the team can figure out a way to keep him and attain James Harden at the same time, then that's the route they have to go.
