Clippers Current Trade Offer For James Harden Revealed
The LA Clippers and Philadelphia 76ers have yet to make their trade for James Harden, but it feels like day by day a new piece of information is being revealed.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski's newest update, the LA Clippers have offered the 76ers more than anyone else for James Harden. They've offered first-round pick, a pick swap, and expiring contracts. The expiring contracts for the LA Clippers include Marcus Morris and Robert Covington. According to Wojnarowski, the LA Clippers would like to get a deal done sooner rather than later for Harden, which is best for all parties involved.
In all honesty, the offer isn't something that should please Joel Embiid or the Philadelphia 76ers. However, if it's actually the best offer that the 76ers have received, then the clock is ticking to accept an offer. James Harden reportedly doesn't want to go anywhere else besides the Clippers and is only on a one-year deal. Because of that, he becomes an incredibly hard asset to trade. A disgruntled star that's known for leaving that's also on an expiring contract is something that no team will want to trade their entire farm for. The only time something like that has happened was for Kawhi Leonard, but he was in the prime of his career and won the Toronto Raptors an NBA Championship.
The clock is ticking for the Philadelphia 76ers and James Harden, and the LA Clippers are waiting.
