It has been obvious for a while that LA Clippers forward Marcus Morris is ready for a new team. After reports surfaced about Morris being unhappy with the handling of his role last season, the veteran forward was included in a multi-team trade that would have sent him to the Washington Wizards, but the deal ultimately fell through.

Recently calling out the Clippers fanbase on Threads, Morris has left no doubt with his social media activity that he would prefer to be elsewhere. Also liking a jersey swap that showed he and Damian Lillard in Miami Heat jerseys, Morris seemed to co-sign the idea leaving LA for Miami:

Morris struggled on both ends for the Clippers last year, but maintained his position as the team's starting power forward until the final weeks of the season. Unable to turn his struggles around, Morris was out of the rotation entirely once he lost his starting spot, but ultimately reentered the starting lineup during the playoffs after Nicolas Batum experienced similar struggles.

Extended time out of the lineup was evidently not what Morris needed to get back on track, as he made just two of his 12 three point attempts in the first round vs. the Phoenix Suns, finishing the series shooting just 34.5% from the field overall. Having already been included in a trade that fell through earlier this summer, it feels likely that Morris has played his last game with the Clippers.
