This season was a tumultuous one for the LA Clippers. Kawhi Leonard and Paul George were hurt for a long period of time, and both even missed the playoffs. The team traded major key players, some players were kicked out of the starting lineup, and all of this didn't come without some dysfunction.

A report from Andrew Greif of the LA Times revealed that Clippers veteran Marcus Morris has recently expressed his displeasure about being taken out of the starting lineup in late March and how little the team communicated with him about it.

Sources told AllClippers that Marcus' displeasure stemmed far before this recent report. He voiced that displeasure in early March when Clippers head coach Ty Lue approached him about coming off the bench. Many within the organization fully expected Marcus Morris to be out of the starting lineup in early March, but instead, that didn't happen until the end of the month against the Chicago Bulls on March 27. There was most definitely dialogue between both parties about the move, and it didn't come easily.

Regardless of how Morris feels about being benched with the Clippers, the team knows that they need to get younger and healthier this upcoming season. The LA Clippers saw firsthand this season how slow the team moved, how they were unable to guard quick guards, unable to get rebounds, and unable to stay healthy.

While Marcus Morris has had some great moments for the LA Clippers, specifically in the 2021 playoff run, it may be time for both parties to finally move on. Especially considering that he was going to be used in a trade with the Utah Jazz for Mike Conley at the start of last season.
