With 27 NBA teams eliminated, hypothetical trade season has officially begun. A recent article from Bleacher Report proposed one trade for each team, including one that sends Paul George from the LA Clippers to the New York Knicks.

With the Knicks not having many players the Clippers would be interested in acquiring, Bleacher Report admitted that it would likely take a third team to complete a Paul George trade. That said, this article views George as an ideal option for New York, who is in desperate need of additional shot creation and shot making.

For the Clippers, they remain committed to Paul George and Kawhi Leonard - at least for now. After suffering another disappointing playoff exit that was heavily impacted by injuries, the Clippers closed the book on year four of the Kawhi Leonard and Paul George era. While many feel as if running it back next year would be unwise, given the duo's extensive injury history, Clippers president Lawrence Frank said after the season that the team remains committed to building around their two star wings.

Because of LA's current intention to continue chasing a title with Leonard and George, a trade for one of those stars would likely have to contain a significant return, which complicates any pathway to a deal. Because of this, George to the Knicks this summer feels very unlikely.
