During a recent report from Jared Weiss of The Athletic, it was revealed that the LA Clippers are still engaged with the Boston Celtics on a possible Malcolm Brogdon trade.

"The LA Clippers are reportedly in the hunt for [Jrue Holiday], but they have continued to engage the Celtics in trade talks for Brogdon throughout the offseason, league sources told The Athletic under the condition of anonymity so they could speak freely," Weiss wrote. "After a deal surrounding Brogdon and Kristaps Porzingis fell just short of the finish line in June, the organization has worked to repair the relationship with the Sixth Man of the Year while continuing to explore trade options in case that bridge is too singed to be repaired."

The Clippers had a deal in place to acquire Brogdon earlier this summer, but that deal fell apart when the team reportedly wanted more time to evaluate Brogdon's health status. With Brogdon now healthy and ready for training camp, perhaps the Clippers are more interested in revisiting a potential trade.

Still in the mix for James Harden and Jrue Holiday, it feels the Clippers have a unique opportunity to upgrade their team one way or another before the season begins. Whether that's with a Brogdon trade or a different deal, the Clippers seem to be active as training camp rapidly approaches.
