LA Clippers guard Terance Mann was recently named the team's 5th starter by head coach Ty Lue, an announcement that comes amid daily rumors about the guard being wanted by the Philadelphia 76ers in any James Harden trade.

When asked on Saturday morning if this latest lineup promotion gives him a sense of security amid the trade rumors, Mann said, "I mean, I guess so. I was prepared for whatever. Still am. It's just how it is. Yeah, I guess. I was still gonna be ready to work and play the same role, be locked in out there on offense and defense no matter what's going on on social media."

Speaking recently with Andrew Greif of the LA Times, Mann got honest about specifically being the 76ers' target in a Harden trade, saying, "I’m in the gym every day to make myself better, to make myself a piece in this league that people want and that’s what I strive to just be. I’m not surprised by it."

Understanding the nature of the business, Mann has been attacking his work the same way he normally would this offseason despite being in daily trade rumors. It has to help that the new starter has been held off limits by the Clippers in any Harden deal, but Mann said he has been ready to approach each day the same no matter what.
