Appearing on the It Is What It Is podcast, Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard was asked about his beef with Paul George and Patrick Beverley that began when the two players made fun of him in the bubble following Lillard's missed free throws against the LA Clippers.

"For every time that I've tapped my wrist or something like that, they gotta take it when it happens to them," Lillard said. "So when they do what they do, like in the bubble... I wasn't really tripping that they did it, it's just they just kept going on and on and on, and I still wasn't tripping. But then after the game [reporters] were like, 'What do you think about them doing all the sh-t they was doing?' And that was my opportunity to shoot back. So I was like sh-t, I'd be doing that too if they got sent home in the playoffs by me. Both of them got sent home in the playoffs on separate occasions."

Lillard added, "Any time it's a back and forth, if I feel like it's disrespect involved, I'm gonna go straight to disrespect."

Lillard and George have since publicly squashed their beef; however, the animosity with Beverley seemingly remains to some extent. While with the Lakers, Beverley trolled Lillard quite a bit, so it seems that beef may not be fully in the past.
